Napier Knights vs Edinburgh University Predators
While I have supported Edinburgh Wolves for years, I've never been to a University level game. I've never followed the sport at this level, so I'm not sure what to expect from what is sure to be one of their biggest games of the year.
I hope to convince a few of my friends to join my on this intrepid adventure into the student ranks, either way I'll report back on what I find.
For now, all I know is that these are two squads that used to belong to a single team (The Napier Mavericks) and they had to split due to a change in the University leagues rules. While there won't be any players left from those days, I'm sure there's still an element of one-upmanship that will be on display.
I couldn't find much on previous meetings, apart from statistics from 2011, so this one really is up in the air.
