Day Two: Finally Slowing?

There were a lot of deals late on day two of Free Agency, and into day three there have been a few more. Things are slowing down now, but not enough yet.

Darrelle Revis to New England Patriots

I woke up this morning to two big deals, this one didn't surprise me at all. There were brave predictions looking to other places, but the majority of realistic analysists and fans had already set Boston as the new location for Revis Island.

Eric Decker to New York Jets

The second deal, and the one that surprised me slightly more was Decker going across to the Jets. It appeared out of nowhere from my viewing platform across the water. Decker news had been light on the ground, and when I woke up he was a Jet. It made sense, but I didn't expect it to happen that quickly.

DeMarcus Ware to Denver Broncos

The Broncos are all in. They have a great roster of younger players, they now have a headline busting defensive core to even out the Peyton Manning show. After adding T.J. Ward and Aqib Talib yesterday, DeMarcus Ware set them up in position to be dominant again through 2014.

Jacoby Jones to Baltimore Ravens

This deal seemed to come out of the blue, as Jones was talking to the Giants yesterday. He obviously didn't like what he heard, so he headed home to Baltimore to resign with the Ravens.

Golden Tate to Detroit Lions

I don't know how effective Tate will be up in Detroit, but after a year in Seattle with major injuries to Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin he showed what he's capable of. Here's hoping he continues to improve, and gives the Lions a true 2nd receiver to place opposite the inimitable Calvin Johnson.

Jason Hatcher to Washington Redskins

The second former Cowboy on this list, Hatcher and Ware leave a huge hole to be filled. Hatcher is a great pick up for the Redskins, and is one of the last top free agents that was left on the board. Most teams are now turning their attention to the smaller fish in the pool.
